I don't think any of us know what goes through a person's mind that possesses them to do this. Obviously, something went wrong in the marriage that they couldn't handle, and they just "snapped". I don't think it's premeditated. And after they shoot their wife, they may have the feeling like "what did I do?" They don't want to go to prison, so the best thing right after that is to shoot themselves. Or....they could have snapped past the point of no return, where they just don't want to live, so they turn the gun on themselves. They feel life is no longer worth living.

Only the shooter knows for sure.In my opinion the last desperate act of control by a very disturbed person.Such a tragedy for family and friends ( on both sides of this scenario) to try come to terms with the hope they can answer the question "why" and simply have no answers. The only emotions I can think of for the shooter is hopelessness and dispair.I don't even want to imagine the victim's state of mind.

its a mentall stage when in really great anger they decide to do so as at that time its just a matter of few minutes and if they shoot their wives or themselves they think this time will pass away and everything will get normall again but alas! its just a thought of that moment..

The bullet. Yuk yuk.

I think they're just messed up and sad beyond belief. They also don't want the hassle of being tried for murder, so they kill themselves too. It's really sad and shouldn't be joked about like I did above.

One feeling is that of uncontrolled rage and anger. Another is frustration that this is the only option open for them.

One could also argue that nothing is going through their minds, as all sense of propriety and reason have fled and it's strictly robotic.

You know, that's been bugging me. I'm not saying that suicide is the answer but if they are going to do it, why can't they just do it alone? Some guy in our neighborhood just took out his father and sister before shooting himself just last week. And the ones that kill their kids are even worse. I just don't understand it.

Eventually, a bullet...but by the time a situation has elevated from annoyance to murder/suicide all decipherable, rational thought has left the building.
