Tell all the waste materials the cars emit through their exhuasts.?

if we install a device to the exhuasts of cars that can suck all the waste materials so will the car stop running.

how can we decompose those waste materials into less polluting substances before defusing into the air

unburnt gasoline in the form of various hydrocarbons that are volatile. (VOCs)

carbon monooxide

carbon dioxide

nitrous oxides

To decompose them they run them through catalytic converters on the car that transform the carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide and water and also the NOx is reacted to give nitrogen and oxygen in another catalysts.

Ideally only carbon dioxide and water should be emitted post the catalytic converter(s), but nothing is 100% efficient.

Adding oxygenates to the gasoline helps them burn better hence reformulated gasoline with MTBE which is now outlawed in favor of ethyl alcohol (ethanol).
