In your opinion, will people really connect their PCs, home appliances, and utilities with a home network someday? Why or why no? Be prepared to support your view.

Any or every item which can be reached thru IP can be monitored. Many of the home appliances like refrigerator, cooler, a/c, doors, cameras are already under use. My company's curtains can be managed thru computer, so? What more are you looking for???

Some will do it, some will not.
Some will do it because:
- society dictates the trend
- they are techno crazy
- they are amazed at automation
- they want automated total control of their homes
- Information is Power - they want to be informed automatically and in time
- they are just too lazy to do things they can do but prefer the machines to do it for them
- they have the money and resources
And some will not because:
- they are private people
- they are not techno conscious
- they have no money and resources to do it
- they prefer doing it the old way

Yes some of mine already are. My fridge will email me when the filter for the watter needs changing. I also have the cold oven and I can send an email home to turn it on so that it will be preheated when I get there. Still looking for a coffie maker that will do that. tho.

Well, I will never own any of those things. I think it is pure laziness. I can't understand why people continue to find things that are supposed to make their lives easier. When it breaks, you have to wait 6 months to get it fixed. Give me the good old fashioned things that I already have. If something messes up, it takes less than 24 hours to have it repaired.
