Personally, would prefer Rolling Stones as I like their music better. The Rolling Stones have been together as a band for decades I think is the reason for their success and that Mick Jagger is overrated and if he had ever gone solo, would not have had much success.
As far as being the most prolific with hits, I would have to say the Beatles were.
As far as Lennon over Jagger, I would have to say Lennon as he did have hits when he went solo and, as I stated above, I don't think Jagger would have.

The Beatles, simply because there are more songs of The Beatles' that I like, and Lennon because Jagger scares me.

Rolling Stones.. They have lasted much longer than the Beatles and have 10 times the songs the Beatles do...

Beatles and Lennon..even though the Stones are legendary as well but in a different light so to speak..The Beatles paved the way for so many and the Stones were one of many to follow..

I have never cared for Jagger although I do like a few of his songs. So Beatles it is.
