No one in their right mind would EVER consider a life as a homeless person if he has other means.

I think it could be great if you meant "homeless" as in choosing not to have a residence, but if you meant being thrown out of your home with family responsibilities and nowhere else to go then that wouldn't be so great.
I've always thought it could be good if I chose that way to live because I could travel from here to there looking for small jobs to keep me going but without the resposibilities of a mortgage, taxes, etc......

My initial reaction is to answer "no" but I guess saving up to go travelling without a fixed abode and then staying in hostels would count as a homeless life (or sorts) so I'd say yes, I suppose I have.

How could anybody not see the appeal of crapping in alleyways, being covered in lice and fleas, and going hungry, cold and without a roof, and hanging out with a bunch of druggies, alcoholics and insane people?

It's an ideal lifestyle. Who could resist?

At the surface it may seem quite free but it must be a horrible existance for most people.

no.. having a homeless life is like having no life... having bo one to cared for and no one who cared for you is non sense.. life is all about loving... and making someone's life worthwhile by making them smile

...yes.

the concept of no bills, no responsibility, no b*st*r*s wanting to take everything away from you sounds like fun.

...but then there is the other side.

no warmth / heat / security & the things that leech of you are actual parasites, not just lawyers & creditors.

I like baths too much to be a bum.
