Already is.
Our perception of the truth is...limited at best but we all are one already.

Looking closely we see differences between two humans. Hair, eye, or skin color makes us seem different and unique. Listening to language, ideas, and feelings will also show differences. But zoom out from this microscope and everyone blurs into the same quasi-image of human-ness. Eventually with inter-marriage, warfare, and other factors I believe that all humans on Earth will speak the same tongue, have the same skin color, and be less different than another at ever closer levels of scrutiny.

As the melting pot continues to melt, and genes mix and blend, one might argue that all races will be blended into one mix.
However, genetic diversity is a must for survival AND some cultures/races simply won't allow 'mixing'. I doubt we'll see too many Chinese/Amish mixes, for example. Great question, and certainly over time there is a great trend toward mixing of the gene pool. I just don't think we'll achieve one-ness. A couple good diseases or natural disasters will wipe-out clusters of genetically-similar folks.

The various variations are adaptations, over time, to the various circumstances which various groups and individuals of our species have found themselves in as regards space and time. A time, of course, which is miniscule, compared to the time of existence of the universe. You know what they say about the extent of nastiness of nasty family feuds. The geneticists and others are revealing a lot that's instructive. There WAS A source and I'm not referring to Adam and Eve here, although that's one version of the story.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. We are all mixing yes, but what does it matter we are all just humans.
Sometimes i think we just look to close. There will always be many kinds of humans but no matter what language we speak or the color of our skin we are still over 99.9% alike genetically!
The stupid thing is you still see people today concerned with color and religion. Why!
Great question!
