Go to the downtown Africa Cafe in Cape Town. Its a restaurant, not a cafe.
It serves dishes from all over the African continent, from Morocco down to of course South Africa.
Its a set menu and the dishes keep coming until you cant eat anymore.
I was there two months ago and loved it.

Some people will recommend Spurs. I dont. It is an American style steakhouse chain, with mediocre steaks and a less than mediocre salad bar.

there's a Brazilian restaurant in Johannesburg called Rodizio. the food is amazing. You have a red and green beacon on the table and as long as the green is up, the waiters keep brininging food. They also have a live band playing latin americn music. Not a cheap night (the drinks bill is quite hefty after drinking capeirinha the whole night), but really worth it.
