There are a few options: If you are desperate such as having no food, there are food banks and possibly emergency food stamps--call your social services office.

If that is not an option then you can pawn something to get cash. When you pawn, you do have the option to get whatever you pawned back. There are also those check cashing places that will hold your check until your next paycheck. These are both last resort and charge high interest and fees in the end.

If it is not as desperate, then sell something-- maybe have a yard sale. Also, cut off all the things you absolutely don't need such as cable.

To help you set up a debt management plan there is an organization called Consumer Credit Counseling Services. They usually do not charge for their services and will even call your creditors and try to get the monthly payments reduced to a manageable level. They are a great support.

Of course, the second job is an option. Evening daycare for working parents is an option.

Be creative and take support where you need it. I have been in difficult situations and always managed to dig my way out of them somehow.

you colud always file for brankruptcy and then rebuild your credit later on. but if you could reach an agreement with your creditors on a payment plan, that would be better so you can save your credit history. good luck.

Normally, a potential lender will ask how much you need and how would you re-pay. Have them ready.
