I am not from Bulgaria but I spent a month in Samokov with my friend and his family. I know many Bulgarians that study and work in the United States. I love Bulgaria and I was sad when I had to return to the United States. I visited Sofia, the Rila mountains, and Borovets ski resort. My friend's family owns a lodge in the Rila mountains.
