I take everything everyone says to heart then spend hours analysing it. How can I just let things go over my head and not let it bother me? It's driving me mad!!!!

Realize that most people mean well. Few however know how to express it completely and often end up accidentally stepping on toes. It's what you think and feel about yourself that is the most important. There are many books out there on positive thinking. There are also motivational CD' s and tapes. Groups you can join. Anything positive that will help you to build your self-esteem, which is what you need.

You are obsessive compulsive, I have a sister like this. It get's very frustrating for the people around her. At first I was sympathetic, but then it got to a point where it's like "okay, I'm sorry, I don't know who you think you are but the whole world does not revolve around you", not everyone out there is out to get you or to judge you. Try to just think of that the next time you go to analyse something. It WILL drive you mad and cause you age quicker than the rest.

It is YOUR opinion that matters. This is YOUR life. If people think that they can manipulate you, They will. Toughen up! And don't spend your time around people that make you feel bad. Being sensitive is a good trait, Just don't let anyone take advantage of you. the older you get, The easier this becomes!

To be honest theres alot of people out there who are very sensitive,why? who knows there are so many reasons, but the reality of it is that it is a way of reacting that pushes others away from us...someone told me the other day, be that duck, let things roll of your back...also understand that your reaching into nothing and bringing unecessary drama w/it! And know what why stress yourself out about" what others feel " !

I have the same exact problem and where as mine got so bad that you could not even look at me. it has taken a long time to try and not be that way and i think by having lots of self esteem and realizing everyone is entitiled to their own opinion but i dont have to believe it

Bones is right, it's hard but you probably do have OCD. I have that. It's not pretty, but once you know you have it you can work on fixing the problem. When you start analysing just tell yourself 'who cares?' - If you start to get anxious about it just try to ignore yourself...

dear sazzle, you are indeed going through a deep pain. my friend, there is a way out from every situation, but it all depends as to how desperately you want to come out of it. this has grown slowly into you, therefore it will take some time to be eradicated. you will have to open with me a little more as to what are your likes, dislikes, your routines, your hobbies etc as that will help more. mail me if you feel convinced.take care.

ever heard the saying in 1 ear, out the other. it's easy just live with someone who wants to be the boss all the time, and you will develop a tunnel from one ear to the other & open & close the tunnel at will.
