It is an identity theft scam, don't ever fall for one of those. Never give out personal information like that to anyone, online or otherwise.

It is definitely BOGUS!!! Junk mail comes all the time, you should never give your account number to anyone that emails you saying you've won something...if you won, why do they need your account numbers? Have you ever played the Australian Lottery? I get scam emails all the time, there's an option you should have on your email that filters junk mail and spam...turn it on and you won't get those anymore. If you do..most of them have a link in them when you open them up that allows you to unsubscribe..its just like getting tele-marketing calls...take them off your no calls list for example.

If you never contacted them in anyway then DONT open the email. It could contain a virus

DO NOT accept this. It's a scam. Somehow, they would end up taking money from you. This happens all the time.
