Wow, I wish the answer could be as simple as the question!

Current use of fossil fuels is the big problem, and nuclear is not answer. I am building a completely pollution free engine that will solve the problem.
In the mean time, industrialization might be curtailed somewhat by shortening the work week to 30 hours. Staggered work week would mean less road congestion, less auto pollution etc, etc.
Any globalization efforts should be strictly tied to human rights and environmental protection. Want our markets? Then clean up your yard.
Fares on public transit should be eliminated. Our taxes go to set up these systems and then we discourage their use with fares, that probably bring in only enough to pay for the fare boxes, the offices and the personnel to count and monitor them.

While putting an end to pollution is impossible, everyone can help diminish pollution by doing simple things. Burn energy officiant bulbs, recycle, drive cars that are fuel efficient, grow gardens and trees.

Stop deforestation NOW. Protect the Amazon and other Great Forests. Plant more trees, burn less fuel, use alternate power sources: wind,solar power, recycle. Introduce engines that can run on water, or methane, or trash...something we have alot of and need to dispose of withourt causing a war and making a select few rich. Stop mass consumption of all things:fuel, paper, plastic, animal products. Be aware, be sensitive to all living things, get educated. Live green.

if you start your friends on recycling and carpooling that would put an end to a little bit of pollution but it takes one person to make a difference but it takes alot to keep the difference noticeable.......

first of reeses is wrong if we put it in the trash can the city waste team will pick it up and dump some where else.there really is no way out we need to just keep it from getting worse because just look at it now

In fa ck we can not , but we can try to reduce it by cycle thing, by use less fossil fuels, by use less cars and factories..
