I'm from London and I'm always amzed how cheap everything is outside London. It is a great city but it is a rat race. It depends where you are in your life. If you are hoping to buy a house and have a few kids soon... I would say stay where you are. If all that's a long way off yet then take the plunge but don't burn your bridges totally. Most friends not from from London say they don't like it but never seem to leave. They say it is because they can earn more money, there are more career opportunities and even though there is no place like home, you do get sucked into the city life with little to go back home for.

Make the move, if your already curious about London then take it as a sign and you won't be moving alone as your boyfriend will be with you. Renting in London is very expensive so take your time with finding the right place as you can find decent place to live that includes all bills and rent.
My perference in locations to live are St. Johns Wood, Notting Hill, Kensington and Kilburn.
Hope I've helped.

Keep wondering!! Seriously, London is fantastic to visit, but not to live in. Not if you don't want to be looking over your shoulder every second of the day. Why do you think that the places like the Midlands are full of Londoners!

that is gonna sound variety of fantastic, yet when I went to London and France, i got here upon the persons in France to be a lot nicer than the British. possibly it really is because i changed into staying in East London, it quite is extra of a run down community. there have been a variety of of arab immigrants in that section, and the English did not seem to love them in any respect! you should sence the hostility in the air. (for sure, i got here upon out that countless months when I left, British police raided an apartment about a block from the position i changed into staying and stuck 4 adult men making bombs!) Sorry, i wish i do not dissapoint you! possibly you in ordinary words opt to stay in yet another element of London! i have in ordinary words been once, and that is all i ought to fairly allow you to comprehend about London.

I would suggest you spend a few week in London first. It is very busy, very noisy and very very expensive to do most things. Parking is difficult but public transport acceptable if you don't mind the crush. I live in Kent and when required, commute to London. Far better quality of life that way. Best of luck.

I moved here from Sydney, Australia.
Worst move I ever made.
Going back at the end of August.
Its always grey, dirty, expensive and crowded.
