limewire isnt always reliable try http://www.morpheus.com and download free 'basic version'
I download all my mp3 from there it has gr8 sources they're free and the downloads are fast

im using limewire since it's 4.1.9
it's easy to use and very FAST downloads if you are connected in dsl..
me im just dial-up so it will take up to 30 min. to download an song (1)
