Sadam Hussain said in his defence that he commited the masacres because they 'mistreated their women'. That was his main argument once he started to deal with the court's accusations.

One of the main points of Marxism was that women had been 'oppressed' and so it set about helping them to take their rightful place. We don't need to look deep to find the atrocities that were commited in the course of that; they slaughtered many millions.

Hitler set out to 'free women'.

'Abortion'- gave women more 'rights'; the 'right' to slaughter,,,,,,,,

Has there ever been an attrocity that hasn't been carried out whilst 'helping women'? and are we now going to realise that it's abusive to society. Is there nothing we won't help them do? Heck we're even helping them masacre little babies. Enough is enough.

Well, in China the Communist revolution did actually help women to attain a higher status in society from what I heard. Unfortunately there were also some side effects.

You could name a number more such examples but it doesn't really mean anything. Are you saying that because some madmen claim to be helping women as a phony justification for their attrocities, that proves that women aren't worth helping? Some pretty shaky logic there.

To be honest, this is some of the most chauvenistic crap I've ever read.

And by the way, if a woman wants to slash her own unborn baby to death, that's fine with me. Just as long as she doesn't kill anyone I know.

Imagine men blaming women for everything. You forgot to blame Eve for the fall of man.

Historically, individuals in power (usually men) manufacture "justifications" for their behavior. Unfortunately, "frail, helpless women" frequently provide such justification, but they're certainly not the only means for justifying naughty behavior.

Let's look at a few examples of how history has used women, and other things, to justify bad behavior.

1. Imagine it's the 1950's. A black man flirts with a white woman. Several rednecks beat the crap out of him and lynch him. (Do a search on Emmitt Till.) Those men just wanted to beat that young man to death. The "he flirted with a white woman" defense was just a convenient excuse.

2. Southern American men created the ideal of the Southern Belle, a symbol of beauty and white racial superiority, to justify their superior status while they committed heinous acts against female slaves.

3. Saddam Hussein committed atrocities to protect women.

4. Hitler started WWII to "free women."

5. America went to Iraq because there were weapons of mass destruction there.

Whether it's women or weapons of mass destruction, we must have a justification for our violent acts. You can't get into a war/a fight if you don't have the moral high ground. Men claim to fight to defend their women's honor, but we all know that they just want to fight, and they simply need to justify their assinine behavior.

Unfortunately, you can justify most anything.
