If you say that its running pretty fast normally, then it could just be that it is overheating, a cooling pad may work very well to help you keep it cool, good luck....

2 months or 2 years? both way it feels like you want to sparkling it. a consumer-friendly software is ccleaner, yet there are plenty accessible purely google it. also i'd run a virulent disease experiment, you do have anti-virus on it proper?

Check the processor fan. May be due to over heat it will hang.
