You can go to a foreign country as a tourist, businessman, student, pilgrimage, employee for some business there or on invitation for some event.
You need to have a passport from your own country and visa from the visiting country plus adequate money to meet the expenses of your visit.

apply for visa for the country your desire...that could be tourist visa and definately with a valid passport
