The main problem is how they were losing 1-0, and still kept the "we won" attitude, everybody but them and Parreira noticed things weren't going well. The team was slow, they weren't keeping pressure, only Lucio and Juan were really marking... people always talked crap about the brazilian defense, but they were better than the rest of the team in this WC.

And when the coach noticed they were going to lose (when they had 30 minutes left...), he puts Adriano in... he might have great scoring skills, but he is also slow to avoid the defense, it was too damn obvious the team needed Robinho to fire up, he ALWAYS does that when he goes in (look at how Brazil played when he came in), Parreira knows that but in his arrogance he thought the game could be won by the big names.

I don't blame Roberto Carlos though, I think he was making the offside trap, if you pay attention there were like 3 brazilians on the same line as him, they just lacked communication to prevent that goal, I understand that since the spirit was "don't worry, we already won". The coach and technical comission should have waked them up at half time, making them understand the importance of this game.

The problem is, they weren't really trying to win after the first 15 and last 15 minutes (when Robinho came in), thinking that at any time someone would make the goal, experienced players like that can't take so long to see the other team is fighting with spirit, they were drowning in a ocean of overconfidence.

Now after this, you bet they will play their next games with ALOT of spirit, because we are very very demanding fans. All teams better be careful with Brazil from now on, because the slowasses will go out and Robinho will surely be recognized by the new coach as a key player.
