I would say that at least 80% of the time I feel drained, i'm 29 I smoke but not heavily (12 or so a day) and only drink a few beers at the weekend, I don't eat a lot of junk food & drink plenty of water.
I'm fairly active also, so why do I feel knackered all the time?

I forgot to mention that I do get plenty of sleep, but I am on a computer a lot, will definitely try some vitamin B though!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, previously known as ME could be the cause. Have you consulted your doctor. They can test your hormone levels including those of your thyroid, your blood levels (including ruling out anemia) and also check for other problems. Could it be stress related or simply that you are doing too much. Another thing to consider is how much sleep you get, and your sleep cycle. Perhaps you are not getting enough REM sleep (perhaps due to a poor quality mattress or unsuitable pillow)? You could discuss this with your doctor, perhaps they could refer you to a sleep clinic. Alternatively, tiredness and lack of energy can be a symptom of depression. Sometimes you may not necessarily feel very low in mood but things like tiredness, lack of motivation etc can be a sign of depression. In any case, get advice from your doctor & discuss your symptoms with them. Only through medical tests & professional advice, will you start to feel better!

Could be anaemia or a thyroid problem. You need to have a blood test and if they come back negative, try a tonic called Metatone-it's really good and you can buy it over the counter. Are you stressed? This can also make you feel knackered.

Take another look at your diet. You might not eat a lot of junk food but then you might not eat much of the right food either. Exercise boost energy. Strange I know but true. You could also get you thyroid checked at the doctors. For this they need to take a blood sample. One of the symptoms thyroid imbalance is lack of energy. You could also be low in iron. Either way it's worth a visit to the doctors for a quick checkup.

if this lethargy is accompanied by muscle weakness or difficulty in breathing then seek medical advice immediately. otherwise your gp will most likely fob you off with explanations about stress and depression, especially if the blood tests show up negative. i went through the same process before eventually being diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder, which thankfully is treatable...don't be fobbed off and get yourself checked out now. You are young and healthy. You will be prioritized. And if people say there is nothing wrong with you and you know there is something wrong with you, do not accept treatment for depression!

Try to get tired by physical work, be less on computer and TV, sleep sufficiently and take plenty of water.

If your tiredness is only recently and if you're in the UK it's the heat, that makes anyone tired and drained of energy.

You could be stressed out. I've been pretty stressed lately and I've felt tired and drained because of it.
