I think that you are feeling a mixture of things: anticipation of having the responsibilities of an adult...maybe you want to remain an adolescent...anxious to experience sex...yet wondering how it will happen...perhaps a bit apprehensive. You like being with your parents and do not want to split away. If some of these feelings are yours then you are at the threshold. These feelings are natural and nothing to worry about...all adults must have passed through this stage so you are not different.

There is awakwardness as your body grows quickly
There is often difficulty communicating with the opposite sex
There is peer pressure to do things
There are huge hormonal changes in the mind and body
etc.
