Actually yes coz they were quite defensive. I understand that Rooney was sent off and they were playing with 10 men. But you have to try to win by attacking and scoring a goal. I would have liked to see Theo Walcott to be used. Also you have to remember portugal did not have the best team and they held on without deco and costinha.

No...did Australia deserve to lose against Italy. No again. Although I think football (AKA soccer) is a great sport, often at the end of the match...particularly when it's a penalty shootout, the team that has played the best on the day don't always win. It's just part of the game...

Looking at their performance in the early stage, and seeing no major improvement as the tournament continued, I figured England would not get to the semifinal or final.

But, Portugal fans, don't celebrate first ...
It's already a World Cup tradition that an underdog gets through to semifinal (Croatia in 1998; Sth Korea and Turkey in 2002) ..
but uhm ... correct me if I'm wrong ... the surprise never went all the way ... in other words .. that's it for you guys!!!

GO GERMANY!!!!

I think England team was lucky to be in the Quaterfinals.
They were there because of the lucky strike by Beckam in the Pre-quaters and surely they don't deserve to win, by the way they played.

Yes, I think it was fair.
And Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't have any power in the ref's decisions.
P.S Don't try to get excuses for your defeat, admit that Portugal was better.

ya It is.
they havent shown any fabulious appearance in this series they could managed to avoid loosing but they didnt take any game out of thei opponent. its Beckams Free kick helped to book their place for Quater finals not the perfomance of the team.
they deserve to loose
