The numbers in the "code" refer to chapter numbers in the book. Take the first letter from each of those chapters.

Then think Julius Caesar.

First of all, I think it is something from the book.

Secondly, Digital Fortress is a disgrace to literature everywhere and an insult to mathematicians.

I would never say that Digital Fortress is good fiction. Some of his other books were very entertaining (but still poorly written), but Digital Fortress was a horrible read for me. Dan Brown knows nothing about mathematics and wants to write about "the best mathematicians in the world." Near the end of the book, he has these "mathematicians" debating over whether the difference between two large odd numbers is prime. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ODD NUMBERS THAT IS PRIME IS 2, the difference was obviously not 2, so obviously not prime. It would take a college student level number theorist to figure that out in less time than it takes you to reed "THE ONLY DIFFERENCE," and he wants us to believe that the best number theorists in the world had to think about it. That is just the biggest thing I remember from the book, I actually plan on rereading it just to find more of the errors, and recording them, the first time I tried to ignore them to increase the enjoyment of the read (it didn't work).

Euler crosser, I felt exactly the same about Deception Point, some of the military hardware which he says exists and is in service DOESN'T! I know because I have done research in that particular field (trying not to give away what happents though if you haven't read it yet!). I got over it because it is a novel, it is FICTION! The sooner people realise that Dan Brown writes fiction, but in my opinion rather good fiction, the better!
