OKAY, Hyphon is wrong.
That woman from Greek Mythology was ATHENA not ATLANTA...jeez...
Anyway, I'm from Brooklyn; it's not a name.
Paris? Like the Hilton? Gross.
Sydney..I actually like that name. If I were to have a daughter I would name her that or Madison.
As for Atlanta, I think its unique, and that's always better than the boring Charlotte, Kate, Tina names.

atlanta is quite a nice name. If these names mean something special to the parents then go for it but why not try something a little more original or with a relevant meaning. everyone is different and just remember the child has it forever

I like Atlanta for a woman's name because according to mythology (if i remember correctly) Atlanta was a strong pwoerful woman, and I think that should represent teh character of a girl named so.
For a guy, I would say Leo. I dont really know why tho.

atlanta is my favourite as the others remind me of famous names apart from sydeny as its too much like the sound of kidney!!!!

They have all be over used by people living on council estates (or celebs).
They were original at one point but now there boring & common - esp Paris & Brooklyn.

The mythological name you all seemed to have remembered incorrectly is AtAlanta. And she was a strong woman, indeed. But beware of the golden apples, if one is to name one's daughter after this big girl.
