Are u fool? Of coarse TAKE! However, there are two sides: If you take presents-that is good. If u take HIV/AIDS/TUberculosis-it is bad. So, I do not give nor take anything, because I only think about myself first. I am too greedy to give good presents. But I invite some "friends" to parties only because I kmow they will give me good presents. I guess, half of our splendid planet do the same.

I think it's better to give. You should give something back to others less fortunate. I know I do, and it makes me feel good to give. I donate to the salvation army, and the kidney foundation. I also send gift cards to a neighbor of mine just to help out. I know it makes me feel to to give to people.

Give, that means you have enough to do so and there's much satisfaction in doing so.
You should also be a good receiver and be grateful for what the universe is giving you.

Taking, obviously, is selfish.
Therefore, as a spiritual teacher to others, you must strive to...take! By doing so, you are creating opportunities for many other people to give. And that, in itself, is altruistic and unselfish.
(Save some for me, though.)
