I just want to know everyone's favorite musicals so that I can check out some other good one's out there. My favorite musicals are Chicago and Phantom of the Opera. Rent was good as well...I've liked all the musicals I've come across so it's hard for me to choose just one favorite.

Rent by a long shot--the music is so raw and passionate. You can totally relate to the characters and some of their problems. It's very realistic, and evokes a lot of differnet emotions. While there is a lot of sadness, there is also good humour and some very important moral themes. You feel like you know the characters, and then you wish you did. The music is beautiful, too--has many evocative lyrics, great melodic patterns, a lot of structure, and really great harmonies. Unlike Phantom of the Opera (don't get me wrong, I love that one too) you can actually go around singing this. Minus the dirty parts.

My favorite movie musicals are Rent and The Phantom of the Opera.
Stage musicals, though, nothing I've seen (and I've seen about ten shows) comes close to being as good as Les Misérables. If you get the chance to see it, you have to.

Grease. It's a classic! West Side Story, Phantom Of The Opera, and I can't think of any others that I myself have seen and or liked.

"Singin' in the Rain" with Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor. There's also "The Wizard of Oz" with Judy Garland; "Dirty Dancing" with Patrick Swayze; "Grease" with John Travolta; "The Sound of Music"; Vincente Minnelli's "Gigi"; "Swing Time" with Ginger Rogers & Fred Astaire; "West Side Story" with Natalie Wood; "My Fair Lady" with Audrey Hepburn; "An American in Paris" with Gene Kelly, to name just a few, but I definitely love "Singin' in the Rain."
