Just about any vegetable blended could be added to a natural shampoo and give your hair what it needs. Try different veggies and find what works for you. Below is a list of other natural herbs spices, etc. with added notes.
Almond Oil
Aloe Vera
Apple Cider Vinegar(Add it to everything and use as a rinse)
Avocado
Baking Soda
Benonite Clay(Edible and removes toxins)
Glycerine(added to many natural shampoos)
Henna(Darkens Hair)
Juiced Carrots or Dry Carrot Powder Carrot Oil
Chamomile(Lightens Hair)
Cinnamon/Cinnamon Oil
Coffee(Darkens Hair)
Cocoa Oil(Pure)
Sea Salt
Flax Seed Oil
Honey(Raw Honey)
Jasmine
Jojoba(used in many natural shampoos)
In commercial shampoos that use Jojoba it is usually only a tiny amount to get you to buy the product
Lavender Oil(Great Oil for skin & hair)
Lemon Juice(Lightens Hair)
Mayonaise(Rinse out thouroughly)
Oatmeal(grind it to a powder)
Olive Oil(I use extra virgin olive oil)
Orange wax(makes a nice aroma)
Neem Oil(Great for hair but stong odor-Combine with Orange Wax or Lavender)
Parsley Leaves(grind to a powder)
Potatoes(Irish Potaoes might help Hair Loss prevention)
Rice Flower For Oily Hair
Rosemary Oil(Restores Color)
Saw Palmetto
Seaweed(Also good for oily skin)
Sunflowers(Grind to a powder)
Tea(Black tea darkens hair)
Tea Tree Oil
Vanilla Extract(for smell)

Try different things and find what is best for your hair. There are an amazing amount of different food, herbs, essential oils, and spices that can revitalize and restore your hair. I would start with an apple cider vinegar base and whatever you have to get started. As you get more into it, keep adding individual new items and try it for a week to see how it is for your hair. Find that perfect combination and avoid potentially toxic commercial shampoos.
