Even without a sixth sense, you do know some things about your future, or the most likely probabilities, anyway. You know you're going to take another breath. You know the Earth will most likely keeping going around the sun. It's at least possible these predictions could be wrong, but it's unlikely. The reason you can't "know" other things with certainty further into the future is because you don't have enough information (or indeed, anywhere to keep it) about the way things are right at this moment. If you knew absolutely everything that could effect any given future event, you would "know" the future, right? Well, it's almost that simple.

While quantum theory allows the possibility to travel in time, the future quantum threads in time aren't fixed. They can and do change. So, if you went forward in time to a certain point, returned to current time, then went forwards to the same moment again, there's no guarantee that the future events would be the same as the last time you were there. That means the future is, to some extent, inherently unknowable until you get there.

Even with a sixth sense, quantum theory implies that you could only see events that have a high probability of occuring; they're not guaranteed to come to pass (at least, not in quantum theory terms). Indeed, your glimpse of a future event might very well cause you to take action which would prevent that future event from occuring.

An equally interesting question is why do we know (some of ) our past.

Our senses only report what's going on. Our brain makes models of the universe and can be used to project will or might happen.

If we thought like Newton, then if we know enough then we could predict the future. For example, if we through a ball and we knew the initial velocity and air resistance and such, then we could predict it's future to the ground.

However, Werner Heisenberg showed that in very small systems that we can't know enough. He claimed that can't know th position and momentum of a object. So, we can't know the future.

Then on top of that we can't really know people's behavior and how they will interact with us. That has the greatest affect on our futures.

Because you only are born with 5 senses. The sixed sense is a gift to those blessed or cursed with such ability.

The 'future' is merely a concept associated with the time continuum... there is no assurance or proof that a "future" exists. There is what has passed (the past) and there is "now" (the present moment), but a "future" is a 'non-event', an unhappened-as-of-yet potential "now" which may never occur.

It be no fun if we knew what was gonna happen every minute, jeepers, no pie in the face, no slip on bananana, oh 6th sence,,,
lemee see,,The future is unwritten for a reason, that reason is so that your actions NOW have an affect on the AFTER.
NOW being that 3 secongs ago that you read it and AFTER being NOW!
In the Quantum Theory it gets real kooky.

its practically not possible to get a peep into the future if this did happen people would have lived with fear and would not b able to enjoy the present so guess best way is to forget the past live in the present and wait for the future

The future is qualitatively hidden from us. Quantitatively, you know a little about it. Why doesnt the quality that the future creates become known to us? Quite astounding. Your question is amazing.

because we are sinners. that is we are short of being gods. and if all of us were gods then these gods will continuosly fight each other. remember that God is a jelousy God hence the need to eliminate too many cocks in the same pen. surprises are interestting and remember the best gift is a surprise. suppose we all knew everything then there wolud be no surprises and no ups and downs and making life so meaningless!

unfortunately most of us were not blessed with the sixth sense. i dont think god gave all of us the sixth sense because some of us would not be able to handle the things that it would show us. thats why there are only a small amount of humans that have it.

Free will, simply put. There are many possible futures and, because of free will, it's impossible to determine what the outcome will be.
