This one seems to be divided between the sexes.

For guys, the chick comes first, no matter what. Oh you're my best friend and you don't like her? Bye best friend. Same with family. If your best friend puts you in a position of either dump him or I'm gone, say goodbye. It is your friend's job to support you. And if your friend talks trash about your BF, tell your friend to get lost. She is probably jealous. Girls are the WORST for that.

All the gals above seem to think that guys are easy to come by. Well that may be true, but good guys are not. And if you don't think enough of your current BF to think that he is a good guy, you shouldn't have been with him in the first place. Remember this: Never let friends make up your mind for you. Follow your heart and not your head.

Well, I had this problem last year in school when I had to choose between my best friend and my boyfriend. Luckily the guy I was with at the time was, and still is, very understanding, and didn't give me a hard time when I chose my friend. A friend will always be there for when nobody else is, including a boyfriend.

My boyfriend IS my best friend.

A bit of clarification that works regardless of whether you're gay, straight, or something else. If your boyfriend ISN'T your best friend then it means that you can't talk to him about everything, and that you can't trust him the way that you may trust your best "girl" friends. If that's the case, then it's likely that you need to reevaluate what makes a friendship. Your friends, best and otherwise, should be supportive of your relationships, sexual and otherwise...and likewise, anybody that you date and/or marry should be equally supportive of your friendships. No matter what. Otherwise, what's the point of having friends and lovers if they don't get along and tear you apart by not getting along?

First one. Means who been friend first that one is more important. But tell you honestly will try to keep both.
Best friends are least in life. But, if possible I will try to keep my girl friend too as I love her lot and she means life to me. And she is my best friend too.

the two relations-best friend & boyfriend r different so I never compare between them, they have different modes of communicatn.,so these relations should b given seperate times.when there is a question of giving priority to one, give him/her who needs more.according 2 me,if the other one is ur bestfriend he/she'll understand ur emmotions & if he is ur boyfriend then he'll realise that his girlfriend is miising him everymoment.
but the best option according to me is if ur 'bestfriend' is a boy then try 2 make him ur 'boyfriend'

You can find a boyfriend perhaps every minute, but finding a loyal, honest friend today, is a scarcity. Keep the friend, and bid farewell your boyfriend!
