For the most part ... anytime unless you JUST got the card. Usually the best time to ask is when there has been a change to your financial history or income.

Limit increase on CC, depending on you lending institution, is every 6-12 months although they have a duty of care to handing out unsecured loans. Unless you have had a pay rise or you have had the card for a while without an increase you will more than likely be declined. If you desperate you can always get a another card from a different lender.

Usually after a year... This is of course if you've made your payments on time and are in the habit of paying a little extra, You havn't had any overlimit fees, or missed any payments... That reminds me I am at the time where I can ask for one... :)

I simply just ask my bank to increase it.

After you max it out and pay it off or pay off most of it. It worked for me. got and extra 1000.
