Right now, I would be happy with being financially comfortable, but I am afraid that when I am comfortable I will want to become filthy rich and then when I am filthy rich I will want something else and so it goes on and on and on. Better be content with what I have now and then the cycle of wants and needs will not get the better of me.

Comfortable would be fine with me.And to Thomas P, the rich are taxed a hell of alot more that you. You are just envious of their wealth and would be just as happy being filthy rich if you weren't too damn lazy to make the kind of money the do. Also ever hear the saying 'Even the most ardent revolutionary becomes a conservative the day after the revolution ends." The rich pay 95% of all the income taxes paid in America so that leaves you paying a very small percentage of what's left.

Something in between would be nice. Not to have more money than I need, but enough to live as I'd like--quite comfortably--without worries about how I'm going to keep on paying the bills after my little nest egg is gone. I work on speculation on a long-term project and it is a constant worry when and how I will get some money to keep going. I wouldn't want to be filthy rich. I know a man who is a billionaire and I know he worries about his fortune every day and about his safety, as well. He has to protect himself from the nut cases who might try to reach him. But I would like to be wealthy enough to be free of worries about bills. I'm hopeful that, though one or another of the projects I'm working on, that day will yet come. I guess then I'd say I'd be happy to be quite comfortable.

I'd be happy with being comfortable, If I were filthy rich, I'd get bored too easily, and would have way too much time on my hands. Because chances are I wouldn't need to work.

I'm pretty poor, fifteen quid to my name, but I don't need to worry about money in my life. I'm happy with being comfortable. It's 10.30 in the morning and I don't have to sit in an office or staff a factory line. In a moment I'll take a stroll in the sunshine to a local museum and then sit by the river. This is my kind of comfortable. Peace x

I prefer just the comforts and needs of daily life. Riches make us selfish and being dirt poor can make us depressed beyond belief. I don't care for riches in money, I care for riches in love and family and friends. We'd all be better off if we didn't wish to be Bill Gates and accepted that with our own talents and hard work, we would have our needs met and that's all we need.

I would like to be rich so I wouldn't have any problems to worry about, so then I'd be comfortable. BUT I would share my money with loved ones & give generously to the poor all over the world.

I am a college student, so I would be happy just to be comfortable, I do good to get the bills paid when I can. If I had enough to pay the bills and stuff and not to have to worry about money, that would be wonderful.

That is what you think now... Once you're rich you will start looking for ways to entertain yourself...ok you are rich you could pay for anything but remember that there are things money cant buy...
As cliche as it sounds its true... And those things usually fly away when lots of money are around...
You start losing perspective of the simple things and WAW that hurts!!!
In the long run you better off working for a stable life!!!

Comfortably rich or filthy rich. Isn't that the dream? Just don't miss out on one of these.

Define comfortable. Does it mean driving a Ferrari or just a banged up old volkswagen. I know i would be happy with the volkswagen. Living in a Huge house overlooking the sea or in a little flat. I would be happ in the flat.
These things are just materialistic. As long as my family is okay i am happy.
