You never really 'get over' a love lost. You will always miss the best times, but you will gain a perspective that allows you to keep it together when you think about these things. Live and learn, love again.

The goal should not necessarily be to get over a first love, but to continue with life and not fear to love again. Memories will always exist, but regardless the type of memories...they are still memories. Pain will fade in time. The length of time will vary. And in time you may find that although you loved this person, it was not in the same way as you will love someone else.

I don't think it's possible to actually get over a first love. Just the Same as you will never ever forget that person you will never ever stop loving that person. No other person you ever love will be the same as your first love. your first love feels different to any other love you have.

Time heals all wounds- love is a wonderful thing then you get over it- or you just keep loving. Personally I think it is possible to get over a first love, I did- As I matured I discovered it wasn't such a wonder full love. Hang in there.

I first fell in love in grade 3, in 1966, her name was Janet, and she had the reddest hair you have ever seen. I never actually dated her, and we went through all our school years together. We used to laugh and joke about it when we saw each other, and some may have called it puppy love, but it still feels real today, and I am 49 now. Of course I got over her, but that doesn't mean I don't still have feelings for her today, they are just in perspective.

Yes. Takes a while, but when you find the love that you will spend the rest of your life with, then you get over the first love.

Yes I fell in love first time when I was in second grade it was crazy, then second time when I was like 13 , now 7 years later I dont have any feelings for them whats so ever, mabe cause I never had chance to see them

No completely, never.Even if you find someone else and love him like the first one, if you see your first love your feelings will return, even for a while.Feelings for the first love never fade.

Yes. I am so over my first love. When I think about him, I can remember how he was like when we were together but I just cannot remember how I exactly felt for him anymore.
