Society doesn’t want people that will oppose things. Meanwhile, that is exactly what the government wants. Yet the people want to oppose the government; the people being society. What a ludicrous cycle. There has to be a sane solution to this. The problem is that once you oppose your best friend’s opinion it will turn into you worst enemy. And that is ANYBODY; you yourself will turn on your friend. Go ahead and lie, that’s all right. I got you down as the liar that you are.

What you seem to perceive is a closed minded society. I'll assume you mean the US. (I wish people would state). Except for a minority, I believe we are an open minded society and we don't automatically oppose everything. I don't believe people "want" to oppose the government and the government doesn't "want" us to oppose them. It's just natural in a free and open society that there will be opposition by some. If that weren't so, we wouldn't have different political parties.

Likewise, your view of friends seems to lean toward closed mindedness. There's no reason at all friends can't have opposing views and still remain friends. It only becomes a problem when sharing ideas becomes competing, which means there has to be a winner and a loser. If that's they way you approach discussing differences of opinions, then you're bound to always have conflicts.

I'm having trouble following what you are trying to say about the government.

However, I am able to make sense of your friend and opposition comments.

I find that what you say about making enemies to be generally true.

However, not all people react this way.
I have a couple of very dear friends with which I can have ongoing strong disagreements without losing their friendship.

These are special people, in that they actually enjoy debating the pros & cons of our different viewpoints.

Good luck finding yourself some freethining friends, as this is what you likely need to look for.

I find that that is easiest to to get along with those folks for which the search for truth is extremely important. These types of people enjoy the challenge of debating points of disagreement (trying to get to the truth).
