First, you need to know that the Nutritional Supplement Industry is regulated based on the Food Standard which is far less stringent that the prescription drugs.

As long it is safe and not poisoness, it can be sold. The regulation says nothing about its effectiveness and potency.

Most follows the GMP Food standard. To ensure quality and bioavailability (ie. get digested) it is important to meet the following criteria when choose the supplement to ensure high quality:
1) What GMP standard does the manufacturing adopt? Food or Pharmaceutical standard.
2) Does the company own its own research and manufacturing plant or does it buy from other and do the marketing only?
3) Does it meet the US Pharmacopoeia, BP Pharmacopoeia specification for quality, potency and disintegration.
4) It is included in the Singapore Master Index of Medical Specialities (MIMS) which is used by Doctor for over the counter non-drug prescription.
5) Does it meet Consumer Lab testing of quality?

By the way, to similify the job, you may go to the Singapore Library to borrow the book "Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements" by Lyle MacWilliam which compares and ranks over 1000 multivitamins in USA and Canada.
Several of the products listed are also available in Singapore eg, GNC, Centrum.
I managed to borrow it from the library and is currently reading it. It is informative and educational.

Ginkgo and Saw Palmetto have been known to helps in this area (sexual power).

Hope this helps.

Well Centrum multivitamin has all the vitamins you need for a general well being, I am sure there are other brands also, I don't want to sound as if I am advertising for it. I find B-complex vitamins taken with 200 IU of vitamin E and 500 mg of vitamin C very helpful. But as important as all the vitamins if not more important is to exercise, walk for an hour three or four times a week, take those vitamins, and you will have all the powers you need. If you smoke try and quit or reduce the amount of cigarettes you smoke, smoking kills it man, and if you're over weight then a good diet with the above exercise mentioned plus the vitamins and your a porn star. Just Do IT !!!!

Hi Lioness, I tried to find "objectified" and "objectification" in the dictionary and no joy. Well, I'm not exactly sure I understand your queston, but think I might have an idea. Anyway, have you ever heard of the "bell curve"? It's a curve that is shaped like a bell and does a good job of representing statistics. As for beauty, at one end of the curve we have the least attractive and at the other end the most. The same would be true for income ... poorest on one side and richest on the other. In the middle of the bell we have all the average folks. I think what you're saying is true, but just simply a fact of life. We have the full spectrum for both genders. As for why guys don't protest ... I guess they realize that it's just the way things are and protests are unlikely to change anything. Hope this helps!

1)There are many specific supplements that influence sexual vitality, particularly vitamin E and zinc. Vitamin C, niacin, and the amino acid arginine also seem to support sexual function. Many glandular formulas are available, and some men and women may experience improvement with them. The idea that if we eat the organs or organ extracts from other animals to offer some essential help to our own corresponding organs is not a new concept and does make some sense, but there is no good research to substantiate the effectiveness of doing this.
2)Folic acid

Increased folic acid intakes can lower homocysteine levels, and high homocysteine levels are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular diseases and Alzheimer’s disease.

Increased folic acid intake may decrease the risk of some types of cancer, especially in those who drink alcoholic beverages.

Vitamin B12
In many people, the ability to absorb vitamin B12 from food but not from supplements declines with age. For this reason, the Institute of Medicine recommends that adults over the age of 50 obtain the RDA for vitamin B12 from supplements or fortified foods.

Since it is only found in animal products, strict vegetarians also need to get vitamin B12 from a supplement or fortified foods.

Vitamin D
In many parts of the world, there is insufficient ultraviolet light for vitamin D synthesis in the skin during winter.
Using sunscreen and avoiding sun exposure to prevent skin damage also prevents vitamin D synthesis.
Vitamin D synthesis in the skin declines with age.

Iron
Iron deficiency is the most common micronutrient deficiency worldwide and is a significant problem in the U.S.
