It is hard to tell whether a player is best in cricket or not.
I think the one who performs well in a match and wins the game for his on that day is the best player.
My best player in cricket is any all rounder as allrounders can be used by the team and captain very well.
My best player is "The Great Indian Wall" Rahul Dravid

Well if you are asking for all time great then it has to be Sir Don Bradman and if it is about the existing cricketers then it must be Inzamam-ul-Haq from Pakistan because if you look at his record he has always played for his country and 19 of his 24 test hundreds were the match winners.
