I lost a friend from a suicide June 6th, 2006 and I'm still crying about it a lot and when I'm not crying, I'm thinking about it and how I might have changed it so I just wanted to know how I can try to stop crying over it [not forget it though] and whether it's unhealthy for me to still be upset

Please don't suggest listening to music, almost every song I hear reminds me of him so it just wouldn't work.

You need to go to bereavement counselling. It would benefit you a great deal. Why not do something positive?Do a sponsered walk, with lots of friends.Raise some cash in your friends memory for say a childrens hospital,or an association that helps families who have been affected by suicide. It would give you,and the friends family something to focus on.That way something good could come out of this tradgedy.

There is no easy way if you truly cared about him. You will have to do your best to keep going on and the sooner you develop a new friendship to replace the old the better off you'll be. I know, I lost a best friend too.
