There are several cheapish souvenir shops on Oxford Street, and stalls also. Mind you, the things they sell are pretty tacky! But you can get T-shirts with such things as "London" written on them; mugs; model Routemaster buses; keyrings, etc. Try also Covent Garden, although they might be a bit more expensive being in a tourist area.

For better quality and therefore nicer things, you will have to pay more: someone suggested the National Gallery. They have some lovely things -at a price! Also, the Sainsbury Wing there has a lot of choice, and the National Portrait Gallery. The Royal Academy on Piccadilly has lovely things, too.

Suggestion: Harrods has a small department on, I think, the ground floor where you can buy pens, pencils, tea caddies, etc, with the Harrods logo. There is also a smoking shop where you can buy Harrods lighters for 99p!
