Have lots of money to spare to pay for all of the tests and study the Microsoft way of doing things. The tests are tricky since there's the "Microsoft Way" and the way that works in the real world.

If you mean MCSE, you need to pay for the privilege of taking some Microsoft devised tests.

I never gave MCSE much credit, due in large part to the number of paper MCSE's out there.

One MCSE I worked with couldn't perform basic trouble shooting on a network connection (the cable was bad.) Another asked me for help dragging a hand-truck down the stairs with some equipment on it...when I got there, I found a small desk printer (easily carried with one hand) bungee-corded to a massive UPS-grade steel hand truck. Now, if this guy can get an MCSE...sorry, I can't see myself taking that certification seriously.
