Dear, that's like asking, "Why should I bother with my parents?" In my opinion, it's important to be bothered with identifying and learning your culture at different intervals. Especially during the early stage of development which is the parent role. It's also good to study other cultures. Later in life it can help you in many ways such as recognizing outward aspect, formulate understanding, promote self pride, health maintenance, confidence, behavioral/preferential tendencies and so much more. Then, you wouldn't asked anyone that question because only you would be able to make an informative and wise decision.
Your culture doesn't define you as an individual but refine you. If you don't identify with your culture there's nothing wrong with living outside of it. I believe, if people were aware not only of their culture but others there would more harmony in the world today.
Remember! You can change culture setting but you CAN NOT CHANGE YOUR HERITAGE!!!

Depends. Maybe your culture has good food, or a tendency to leave you some money.
Or maybe your women are good-looking.

It's entirely up to you. Sometimes fitting in can make life a little easier. If you tend to be a trailblazer in your own right, then do your own thing.
