Boston: their debut self-titled album, circa 1976. The band represented every thing good about rock n' roll and my carefree life of the time. Boston took sheer pride in their sound and studio work (tragically missing with todays 'alternative' rock garbage).
It's one of the few albums where I enjoyed every song on it, instead of two or three on most albums by other groups. How I wish that bluesy electric guitar could make a strong comeback in music today.

The KLF - Chillout ( very ambient and wierd, amazing stuff )
Electribe 101 - Electribal Memories ( Billie Ray Martin's first release with a band who then fell out and never made another record together.Billie then went on to be solo and had a couple of minor hits...very good musically put together and beautiful lyrics)

So subjective, and I'm to tired to start listing. A bigger question is how can anyone pick a best band, song, book, movie, actor, food, car, painter, flower, animal...Why do we have to pick a best? Is life all competition. I've been a musician all my adult life, and honestly most musicians aren't all that competitive. they're like,... artists! As I've posted before, it's like standing at the entrance of the Library of
Congress, and asking: "O.K. what's the best book in this place?"

I'd have to say Flyleaf's self titled album. It's excellent, if anyone likes bands like Evanescence and Garbage and other female rock bands you will more than likely like Flyleaf.
