Probably somehow George Bush will get the blame, the Europeans blame him for everything else.

The players should get the blame...they didn't perform to their best ability.....they got knocked out by a mediocre team...meaning England are more mediocre than Portugal....

Long hard look needed from players and new manager (cant see there being any difference in Mclaren) for Euro Champs...and new world cup..

Sould be the whole team, right from Sven to the gimp at the bottom. They are alledgedly a "team" so they are all to blame. And a pants display of football there on Saturday. Shocking. They say England fans are thugs/hooligans, check Wayne Rooney out then.

Mr Burns.. I mean Sven.

OK, Rooney getting the red card was bad. But bad things happen, however it is the coach's role to make adjustments to best deal with a bad situation.

Bringing on Crouch isn't it. The man's useless!

Anyway, going back down to basics, England weren't in any shape to win - their play was clumsy, amateurish. Yes they had a couple of scoring chances but I'd credit that to the individual players despite of the overall team strategy/make-up, not because of it.

So if there's anyone person to blame, it's Sven. But then, there's no satisfaction of seeing him being sacked is there since he's quit already.

Two people Sven for not getting the formation right and Ronaldo for pointing out a foul by Rooney. But the real reason is ROONEY`S fault for losing his temper and stamping on another players private parts.

From England's point of view, Cristiano Ronaldo is to be blamed.
From the non-England fans' piont of view, Wayne Rooney and Sven-Goran Eriksson are to be blamed.

No one can blame for what happened with England, cause football is the unpredictable game. Any team can win and any team can lose. Even a BIG TEAM can lose.
