It's the way the blood flows through your body when you're relaxes and sleepy. The blood is not used much to power your muscles and brain, so it circulates into abdomen.

3 reasons why men have morning wood or the pee hardon.
1. guys get an erection durning sleep to help keep the penis healthy. pumps fresh blood into the penis. this will happen anywhere from 5-20 times durning a full 8 hour sleep.
2. Helps keep guys from urinating the bed in the later part of sleep. Have you ever tried to urinate with an erection, damn near impossible.

when ahve erection when u woke up its normal all u need to do is go to bathroom and take a leak if this happening during the rest of the day maybe u have hyper active libido
