I found that one of my customer's internet was not working properly. She knew it wasn't working but didn't know why. A week ago I found a signal problem in the cable and the plant tech fixed the problem but she was still having problems. I checked her speed, it should have been 4 mbps DL, buy was 200-400 kbps DL. She had just purchased a new PC, the NIC card on the Mother Board was bad out the box. I replaced the Nic card and her speed started kickin". I was supposed to charge her, but blamed the previous problem for my mis-judgment and requested she not only have my services for free but also get a refund for the months her service has sucked!

Later on in the day I went to another customer's home. After about an hour of testing all of the things I could test, I found a plant problem, a PC problem, and an in-house signal. According to the company I work for, if I find a problem with a customer's PC I have to charge them . I can not fix the problem but must charge them $34.95 to diagnose that a problem exists. Not only did I fix the problem, I gave them a new modem. fixed their computer, and gave them a credit for their non-usage.

Most techs will say something is "your problem" and "I can't fix it." Most problems can be fixed if the tech is honest and hard working. I do unto others........If someone went into my Mother's home and told her some Bull Crap then charged her an arm and a leg I would beat the crap out of them. So I treat my customers the same way I would not only treat my self, but the way I would treat my Mom. No one get's charged on my call...unless it is obvious they screwd something up.

i didnt do anything today. But i did something yesterday, although im not sure if you would consider it because i wasnt helping a human. Two friends and i went to a fenced in dog park yesterday and found a thin dog without a collar, we discovered from people already there that the dog had been dumped by his owner and had been there for several days. It was our first time at the park but the other people there went every day. We caught the frightened dog and while unfortunately none of us could take him home because our parents would not allow it (we are all 17) we decided to go back today and take the dog food and water and take him to a no-kill shelter (when we had gone the previous day all shelters were closed by that hour). Sadly, when we got to the park today the dog was gone. We only hope he was taken home by someone that would love and care for him and not picked up by the spca who would surely put him to sleep because he was mostly pit bull, or put him to sleep if he was not adopted in a certain amount of days.

Pretty much the same thing that I try to do every day, make someone laugh.

See, I believe that if you make someone laugh, smile, chuckle, or grin - even for just a couple of seconds - then I've made that person's day a little better, and if that is the only way that I can contribute to make the world a better place, then so be it.

i gave a dollar to a homeless man. i only gave it to him because there were a lot of other people in the area, meaning upon giving the homeless man a dollar, i would receive attention. yeah, i felt good afterwards, too.

i also gave a dollar to a panhandler as i was driving towards the bridge.

I took my sister to the bank to cash her check, then took her to pay her bills. Her van isn't running.
Next, I took my nephews girlfriend to get a new switch for her car. Then I took her to return movies.
I do something every day for someone. It's called a "RAK" (random act of kindness)

The other day I gave money to a homeless woman to use the phone. She told me later, that someone had already let her use their phone before I gave it to her.
I also win stuffed animals & donate them to kids waiting to be adopted, & who are abused/neglected.
