Whether Liberal/Democrat or Conservative/Republican it seems that they all agree that government can tell you how to live.
All they differ about is the details.
Democrats will tell you how to run your business and what charity to support. They order you to stop smoking cigarettes, drive a smaller car, and love the United Nations.
Republicans want to tell you who you can love and marry, regulate your reproductive life, and love big business. They order you to discard the last century or so of science and believe some fable about creation, salute when the flag goes by and always remember policemen are your friends.
Both groups then insist on plundering your bank account to pay for their projects.
Moreover, people seem to believe this is the natural order or things.
Is there anyone left who believes that men are born free and have the right to live as they choose so long as their actions do not directly and maliciously affect others?

You sound like a man after my own heart a libertarian. You are 1000% right. When will people see government is not the answer it's the problem. The less government the Better.

However, it is a self defeating belief. As human nature is to infringe on others' right to live as they choose, we (society) require public services to enforce our right to live as we choose.
In other words, it doesn't work because we screw it up.
