The ethernet device can be market aimed towards company offices who want to circumvent the high costs of internal wiring their building or office space for both INTRAnet and INTERnet.

Wireless router/ethernet hardware for such businesses is a positive cost effective ( cheaper ) approach to the problem. It's not without it's faults, but in high tech--what isn't without fault?

"Industrial ethernet" is used to describe uses of ethernet networks to connect things like plant equipment, manufacturing machinery, test gear, facilities/HVAC etc.
