That is always tough.
Losing a pregnancy at such an early stage there should not be any need for a D&C. Your body should flush itself out .. you may notice that your period is a little heavier and it lasts a little longer. My first misscarriage(at 7 weeks) I bled for 2 weeks.
There is a chance that you may need a D&C... but a slim chance.
My second missacarriage was at 8 almost 9 weeks. The bleeding was quite light the first 4 days and then it went heavier... and stayed heavy for 2 weeks. Then it became a light flow.. heavier than spotting .. It stayed like that for about a month. So, 6 - 7 weeks I bled.
I went to the Doc and got an ultrasound .. from there I was into surgery for a D&C.
In your case I dont think you need a D&C unless you dont stop bleeding, or you are bleeding too much at once ( filling pads like every hr , 1/2 hr)

I had a miscarriage at between 5 and 10 weeks.
At the time the doctor felt I didn't need a D&C.

3 or 4 months later - I just suddenly started bleeding a lot.
Then I got an infection and ended up getting the D&C anyway.

it all depends on if everthing expelled itself when you had the miscarriage. I gave stillbirth at 20 weeks and also had a miscarriage at 16 weeks and needed a D&C both times to stop the bleeding. So, I do believe it is whatever your doctor thinks is best for you at this point. If you need to have a D&C it is an in and out procedure you will go home the same day. Good luck to you and i am sorry for your loss.

Despite the fact that 5 weeks is just a little young, kittens will have to had been at least partly weaned from their mother at this point (weaning starts at four weeks of age). Present a bowl of kitten formulation milk 4 times a day with a small amount of moist and dry meals. I soak my dry meals in one of the crucial kitten milk for half of an hour earlier than feeding my kitten as I've found that she's not absolutely used to/equipped of eating the dry food. I am using a 3rd of a one hundred gram packet of moist food at each feeding. With the aid of eight weeks the kitten should be able to consume simply the moist meals blended with some dry meals, despite the fact that I for my part wish to proceed supplying particular pet milk as a deal with make certain you buy food principally labelled for kittens as kittens require more protein and fatty acids and so forth. Than adult cats (they've extra power). As far as manufacturer goes, attempt to to find something which lists the primary few elements on the packet as being a meat protein (not with the aid of product) reminiscent of chicken, beef or lamb and many others. Try to buy matters which don't list corn as a essential ingredient - or cereals more commonly for that subject. In dry food this can also be rough, but if the first few ingredients are meat situated, you will have to be exceptional.

I too had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and I opted for the D&C. The night before i went in for surgery I started to have labor pains. The option is yours but I know from their description of miscarriage I knew that I didn't want to go through that.

Although five weeks is a little bit younger, kittens SHOULD had been no less than partly weaned from their mom at this factor (weaning begins at four weeks of age). Offer a bowl of kitten formulation milk four occasions an afternoon with a small quantity of rainy and dry meals. I soak my dry meals in one of the kitten milk for part an hour earlier than feeding my kitten as I've observed that she's no longer utterly used to/able of consuming the dry meals. I'm utilizing a 3rd of a one hundred gram packet of rainy meals at each and every feeding. By eight weeks the kitten will have to be in a position to devour simply the rainy meals combined with a few dry meals, despite the fact that I for my part love to preserve providing specific puppy milk as a deal with Make certain you purchase meals principally labelled for kittens as kittens require extra protein and fatty acids and so forth. than grownup cats (they've extra vigor). As a long way as manufacturer is going, attempt to discover whatever which lists the primary few materials at the packet as being a meat protein (NOT by way of product) comparable to hen, red meat or lamb and so forth. Try to shop for matters which don't record corn as a predominant element - or cereals most likely for that subject. In dry meals this may also be difficult, but when the primary few materials are meat headquartered, you will have to be satisfactory.

I have had 4 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy. I never have had a D&C because everything came out on its own. Your doctor should be able to tell you what you should do. I am sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry about your miscarriage, and to all of you who replied who had tem also. All of you, and me know how hard these are. We mourn alone, and people just don't get how tragic they can be. As far as the medical aspect of this, you may require a d&c, I did once, but I was further along.

Most pregnancy's don't need a D&C if they expell themselves. The OB GYN should let you know though. I had a D&C when I was 13 weeks pregnant because I had a mollar pregnancy that didn't expell itself. I'm really sorry about your news.
