Look, if you're asking about Italian in Cleveland you need to go to Little Italy, which is NOT in Ohio City. It's up Euclid Ave, actually on Mayfield towards East Cleveland...right by Case Western Reserve U. There are literally a dozen+ restaurants in a 3 block area. You can spend a lot of money there, or eat for less than $5. Your choice...ask the people around about where to go...

Pizza- Mama Santos
Pasta- anywhere
Upscale- Valerios, Batutto

The list goes on and on...just explore!

Almost anywhere in Little Italy in Ohio City. There are some amazing places there. Olive Garden has the traditions down, but not all their food is authentic. I like Bucca di Beppo too, but I don't think "authentic" when I think of a chain restaurant. In Solon there is a restaurant called Jimmy D'Donna's. Very good food for a reasonable price. A bit south in Cuyahoga Falls in a place called Russo's that combines Italian with Creole and it is really good, but high priced. Hope that helps.

upstate ny (utica ny)has the best italian food around besides italy anyway small community with alot of italians ive been many places and found this to be true always stay away from places like the olive garden or those big francise resturaunts they make the food in mass amounts try to go to a resturaunt where they always prepare your meal fresh and not in mass production i beleive the food is better when you order and it is prepared just for you

If you are talking about the Cleveland area (and Akron)

I would like to recommend Luigi's in Akron, Ohio. The pizza is wonderful. Excellent service. It's been around for ages. You get a lot of food for your money, the food is great!

Trattoria on Mayfield Rd (Little Italy). If you're in the mood for pizza go to Mama Santa's a block down the road. It's cheap and damn good. For desert go to Corbo's or Presti's for canoli. Buon appetito!

Who said Olive Garden? If that is considered good Italian food, then the Pope is Jewish.
