the Jewish culture is generally being preserved and supported, especially with the horrible details of the holocaust in mind. There are some cultural Jewish centres in Berlin that are guarded by the police night and day, just to make sure.
You have to go to the Jewish Museum in Berlin, the building was invented by Daniel Libeskind and there is so much to see! Take a day at least there.
I think because of the history Germany has with the Jewish population, the emphasise is very much on bringing people closer to Jewish Culture. Besides, it is part of German culture too! (Mendelssohn-Bartholdy for example!)

"Today, Germany is home to an official Jewish population of more than 105,000, mostly recent immigrants from the former Soviet Union. Many more Jews born in the states of the former Soviet Union, Israel, or Germany choose not to affiliate with the official Jewish community, and thus the actual number may be much higher, probably exceeding 200,000." Most of the Jews live in Berlin.
