We go to Hungary a few times a year, since it is next door to Austria, I am from the U.K. and live in Vienna. e swim in a outdoor lake there every winter. Hevis at Jan or Feb is between-10° and -20°c and has the largest volcanic lake in Europe. and even in winter the lake is +18°coutside and undercover+36-+38°c . Most places in Hungary are much cheaper than most of Europe. youu can have a hotel room between15-40 euro a night. we stay in a camp site even in winter. which is not us good us some in the rest of Europe. good butter is hard to find if not impossable. Fantastic beer though wine O.K. and cheap. Budapest is a super city just like Vienna and very good hostel if you are on Skype you can talk live to them in English. the weekly paper the Budapester is in English on a Sat. and has good adverts. contact budapesthostel on Skype and have a good time. Hungary is a super place very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The people are very friendly, and a good place for a movie, since most of the good films are in English with undertitles in Hungarian. the language is impossable for most to learn, but most speak German and a lot English. and most shops take the Euro 1 Euro=250 Flt. Hungary was part of the polyglot Austro-Hungarian Empire, which collapsed during World War I. The country fell under Communist rule following World War II. In 1956, a revolt and announced withdrawal from the Warsaw Pact were met with a massive military intervention by Moscow. Under the leadership of Janos KADAR in 1968, Hungary began liberalizing its economy, introducing so-called "Goulash Communism." Hungary held its first multiparty elections in 1990 and initiated a free market economy. It joined NATO in 1999 and the EU in 2004.

you're conversing approximately criminal immigrant that have become voters. In different words, so what. we are actually not jealous. What maximum actual everyone seems to be pissed approximately are the unlawful aliens! it quite is a very distinctive difficulty. we are furious concerning this difficulty. Immigration has no longer something to do with race so supply up it with the "race card." i do no longer care if the unlawful alien is from England, Canada, eire, Peru, China or France. in the event that they are an unlawful alien criminal they are breaking the regulation and can go away the day till now in the present day! unlawful aliens do no longer pay taxes. How can somebody without a SS# legally get a job and pay taxes. they are able to't. besides, many are paid decrease than the table. they might pay slightly revenues tax yet if you consider that their earning are so low, it quite is minimum too. the only place you will see a assertion that the unlawful aliens pay taxes, and pay for the centers they get carry of, are on biased professional-unlawful web pages and that they are liars! How can they in all probability positioned around $10,000 into the device for each baby it quite is in our colleges? (it quite is the estimate of the education expenses for one baby.)

Toilet signage: I think they are clear and the same as elsewhere.
Friendly people: many tourists say the opposite :(
The film producer's name is Andy Vajna (Terminator, Basic Instinct, Evita... etc.).
Tokay is actually Tokaji, a tasty brand of wine.
Language: Unfortuntely, a big percentage of us don't speak foreign languages.
The Euro is currently worth around 280 Ft, and t is only accepted in big hypermarkets and shops in the West or Budapest.

Now let's see that one thing... When the bells toll at noon, it is dedicated EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD to the victory in 1456 at Beograd over the Ottomans (because it was considered as the victory of Christianity over Islam).

Well, I have been there in Budapest it is divided by the (was it the Danube River) one side was the Buda side and one side was pest. One thing I remember is I went to a pizza place there and they sat me and my Friend across from a nice lady and her daughter. I had to go to the WC and it did not have the normal signage that I was used to in Europe so I had to ask the lady in English.

The people were some of the friendliest that I remember in Europe (Spent 2 years there mostly in Germany) and I sure enjoyed my stay
