Awwwwwwww come on, this question isn't fair to all whom are intelligent.

Pretty Woman because of the way they impacted each others lives. He grew to become more than just a money making machine with no fulfillment but being just that. And She acknowledged that she was still worth something and could flourish farther that she would've ever thought without genuine belief in herself and from the nice co-stars around her.

The answer depends on the type of person you are.

Pretty Woman - Person who likes fairytales. She's a poor prostitute who finds love with a rich corporate businessman. It's like Cinderella, except modern. Happily Ever After. The End. It also attracts the audience that welcomes opposites attracting and the idea that one could discover "truth about life" from someone "you'd least expect." Intervention between conventional and unconventional people is common. It's not so much real as it is about hope and hypothetical, ideal situations. "When dreams come true."

The Notebook - Is for a person who's partial to puppy love, loyalty, defines true love as being love that keeps promises and is everlasting. It likes to rely on what people have agreed true love is all about and the "reality" that must be associated with love. It's not all perfect and cheery, and things don't fall into place exactly as they should, but it never ends. If your concept of reality is tragic, than you'd adore this film.

I'd choose neither, or both. I liked the films, sure. I just don't think it's fair considering one is a romance and the other is a lovestory. You don't know what happens to them afterward in Pretty Woman, you're left with a dream. In the Notebook you see them to the end, and are touched by the tragedy that befell them.

I like both types. Asking to choose between them is like asking to choose between Snow White or Romeo and Juliet. They're not the same.

I would have to say the Notebook, just because the story was amazing. Dont get me wrong Julia Roberts is an awsome actress, but if the story is ok then the movie cant be all that. The Notebook on the other hand tied a string around your emotions and took them for a ride. I am not one to cry in movies but that one had me balling.Plus we can all relate in some form or another.

The Notebook is a better story...but Pretty Woman was entertaining too. But did anyone ever notice that in the 80s, Richard Gere did a whole lot of sweeping women off their feet and taking them away from bad places?
Pretty Woman was good but the ending was very corny.
