There was a recent study that showed that people tend to learn fears and phobias from their mothers. I realized that I learned to fear spiders, and swimming, because these were also my mother's fears, and this helped me to get over both. Only a very few spiders are dangerous, but if you learn to be afraid of any, it's a human tendency to generalize to all of them. I also became nervous on a ferris wheel, although I never was before, because I was with a guy (!) who was obviously scared. So fears are definitely contagious. Using your mind to force yourself to confront your fears can help a lot.

I think some people are afraid of spiders because they are so small and they move so quickly that you can never predict what they are going to do next thus making them scary!

i think women are afraid of spiders because they think spiders can invade the body and make cobwebs in the body holes.

this is true only in dead people but this does not happen often when the person is alive.

so there is really no needto fear the sweet animals.

a lot of human beings concern issues like snakes and spiders because of the fact they are taught to the two by way of kin or by way of this sort of existence often. Our way of existence is one that regards spiders as creepy and hazardous. you are able to desire to sense an identical way approximately canines or birds if this sort of existence taught you that. My spouse is afraid of spiders too, and she or he basically tries to bear in mind that they consume bugs for us and surprisingly plenty stay faraway from us. they are greater frightened human beings than we are of them.

I'm arachnophobic as well. It's evolutionary...some spiders are very harmful, so we have an instinct to fear them. Same with snakes.

Maybe those fearing spiders were a fly in another life, who got trapped in a hungry spider's web. Heck....I dunno. But should you discover why, you'll learn your own fear of spiders: a step towards conquering that fear.
